A Superdrug Spending Spree

Today I thought I’d do a post on a few products I have bought since being in the UK. As much as I love Cape Town, there are a few beauty products that we lack and in order to get them, we have to order online. I am personally not a fan of shipping and customs costs so I have always given it a miss. The most annoying thing about it is that I never even wanted high end products, just your basic Sleek products and Real Techniques brush sets but anyway, here it goes!
Sleek

Earlier in the week I was in Sutton and took a trip to their nearest High Street. My first stop, Superdrug. At Superdrug I managed to get two Sleek palets. The first was Sleek’s Blush by 3 intensely pigmented matte and shimmer blushes coming in the shades Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. These colours are absolutely phenomenal on all skin tones but more specifically, orange and desert orange hues look outstanding on medium to dark skin tones. To apply these blushes I use the Blusher brush by The Body Shop but more details on The Body Shop brushes further down. The second pallet I purchased was the Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Pallet in medium and to apply this I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

The Body Shop

So for the past two days I have been in Leeds visiting my cousins and aunts and I took a trip to town where I fortunately stepped into The Body Shop. I got so much free stuff just for purchasing a brush set that was already on special! One of the free things I got was a mascara which I will talk about in a minute. The three brushes I got were the foundation brush, blusher brush and petite eye-shadow brush. Of course The Body Shop is known for having the softest most face friendly brushes so I won’t go into much detail about their quality. I do however wish that their blusher brush was slightly larger so I am thinking of soon purchasing the Real Techniques blush brush.

Barry M.

I’m not 100% sure if we have Barry M. products in South Africa. I haven’t necessarily taken the time out to look but I did happen upon seeing their stand in Superdrug and just loved Berry Cosmo. I did leave all of my nail polishes in Cape Town (which I do plan to throw away) so I believe I will be starting a new collection while I am this side 😀 I can’t do a serious review on this nail product yet because I have only had it on for a day so I am not sure if it chips or cracks, however, the colour pay-off is great. Visit my Instagram account to see how Berry Cosmo looks as well as how The Body Shop mascara left me feeling well pleased with its application!

That’s all for now!
