REVIEW | Clarins Bright Plus

A perk of being a part of the fabulous Insider Beauty Bulletin community is receiving awesome products to review. That said, I have been given the opportunity to put three amazing Clarins products to the test.

On trial is the Clarins Bright Plus range which includes an SPF 2O Hydrating Day Lotion, a Brightening Repairing Night Cream and an Intensive Brightening Smoothing Serum. As I will be providing weekly updates on my experience on Beauty Bulletin, this post will simply be dedicated to introducing the products to you and relaying my first impressions.
By identifying key skincare concerns of mine (hyper-pigmentation, uneven skin tone and dehydration), I was very pleased to know that the Clarins Bright Plus range includes a serum as well as a repairing night cream as it is these two products that will assist the skins repair and rejuvenation process at night. In this range, the Clarins Bright Plus Intensive Brightening Smoothing Serum and the Clarins Bright Plus Brightening Repairing Night Cream work together to provide dual brightening action while I sleep. Used in conjunction with the Clarins SPF 2O Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion which protects and evens out complexion throughout the day, all three products when used together will deliver optimal results.

I’ll admit, I was impressed with the packaging of all three products – super sleek, chic and white with the classic Clarins red print on the outside and accented with silver metal. I use this serum religiously – both day and night.

As I am two weeks in, I officially cannot do without it.

The Clarins Bright Plus Intensive Brightening Smoothing Serum is enriched with Sea Lily and Alchemila extracts which provide protection against dark spots while the combination of raspberry extract, biotin and Vitamin C reduce melanin. While the serum is incredibly lightweight, I did not feel it lacked in hydration.

As is the case with most serums, a little goes a long way and the pump applicator allows for effortless control of the amount of product you wish to use. One squeeze is sufficient to evenly spread the product all over my face. Like the other products in the Bright Plus range, it has a pleasant smell and didn’t irritate during and after application.

Moisture – my biggest concern when it comes to repairing night creams. I was of course very pleased that the Clarins Bright Plus Brightening Repairing Night Cream delivered in this respect. The bonus is that it carries (much like its serum and day lotion counterparts) potent dual active brightening ingredients which seek to help repair harm and damage to the skin caused by UV rays and daytime stress.

The Clarins Bright Plus Brightening Repairing Night Cream  is of a very nourishing, creamy consistency but still absorbs quickly into my skin.
In the morning, my skin feels incredibly smooth and appears more radiant.

The only disappointing aspect of this night cream is that it’s in the shape of a tub. I do wish it had a pump applicator like the serum and hydrating day lotion.

Another of the three Clarins Bright Plus products I use religiously is the Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion. After applying my serum I squeeze two pumps onto my ring finger and dot the product evenly across my face, along my neck and dècolletè. The result is fast absorption with a velvety smooth, even and matte finish.

I’m a sun-care fanatic so its super imperative that my day creams contain a sufficient amount of SPF.

The Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion provides broad spectrum sun-care meaning I am protected from both harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Once again its smell is incredible and I didn’t suffer any irritation during or after application.

Have you tried the Clarins Bright Plus range as yet?

Are you still using any of the products. On a very tight student budget so I really don't want to buy this range unless I'm certain it provides results.

    P.S Looooooove everything you btw
